OBAMA 'o8!

CHANGE IS SOON APPROACHING!

Photobucket

OUR NEW PRESIDENT! "MR. Barack Obama".

Is this crazy or what? Although I have to admit, I'm not too fond of politics. It seems like such a nasty part of our society. All the lying, cheating, and deceitfulness. It's almost sad sometimes what our nation has been exposed to. But we asked for change and that's what we've received! Tonight as Americans, and most importantly for some of us as African Americans we were able to experience HISTORY. Our first African American President, wow. Can you believe it?

Many many years from now we're going to be telling our great/grandchildren about this historical day; The day our first Black President was elected. And how we were lucky enough to have been alive to witness it.

Wooo WHoooo OBAMA! 11.o4.2oo8

Martin Luther King walked so Obama could run.
Obama ran so our kids could fly!"

"Like anybody, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place. But I'm not concerned about that now. I just want to do God's will. And He's allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I've looked over. And I've seen the Promised Land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the promised land!.."
-Dr. Martin L. King

"We must begin to understand that a revolution entails not only the willingness to lay our lives on the firing line and get killed. In some ways, this is an easy commitment to make. To die for the revolution is a one-shot deal; to live for the revolution means taking on the more difficult commitment of changing our day-to-day patterns."
-Francis Beal

"The right of every American to first-class citizenship is the most important issue of our time."
-Jackie Robinson

"I have learned that success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed. Out of the hard and unusual struggle through which he is compelled to pass, he gets a strength, a confidence, that one misses whose pathway is comparatively smooth by reason of birth and race.

his words get me every time..

His words: "But no matter where we are in life or where we stand I can honstley say I love and care for you"

I met him in 'o4 and fell in love by 'o7. I don't quite know what it is but he's special to me no matter how far apart we may be. We put years into this, it'll forever live on in the both our hearts even if we aren't together. He'll always hold a special place in my heart and mind.

will this ever end?

Photobucket

The ones I find most interest in tend to be the ones that intimidate me most. I get all tongue tied and twisted, and never know quite what to say. I panic as conversations go dull. The thought of there ever being an "us" between you and I brings joy to my mind and a smile to my heart like you'd never imagine, But also seems to bring me right back into this dreadful shell of mine. and again I ask myself.. Will this ever End?

A Love of no contact.

Love?
the deffinintion found in most dictionaries cut the meaning so short. when truth is love has a never ending meaning, in the eyes of those who have found it, gone through it, truly lived it, and terribly lost it. As a never ending meaning Love only expands more an more through gestures, words, feelings, and most importantly emotions one's experienced with another.

But what if what you considered your love to be, was something or to be more specific "someone" so distant, so untouchable, yett so close in very few ways. . . .As i write this &think over what I've actually started. I can surely say it was pure trickery, not love at all. I just don't believe in love at a distance.

To know real love you should be able to feel ones embrace, if not through every waking day or every night, at least once in one's precious lifetime. Now to feel a loved one's embrace is nothing sexual. It can be the simplest brush of a cheek. But even in that moment you feel it. I've never felt it how I've dreamt it, so like i said I've actually never been in TRUE love. Although I've come pretty close once. But does it take a genius to know &speak on what it's said to be?

...&now i feel like I've said so much, with so many words that i really haven't said anything at all. . . does anyone understand. =/ if not, im not surprised, i wasn't expecting it anyway. A mind so troubled as mine, how could i ask for any ONE person to truly understand. Sheeeeesh.

ONE OF THOSE NIGHTS

One drunken night, so unexpected. She pours her heart out to him, &to the extent of her memory he did the same but im sure, he much more careful with his words. There was nothing between the two of them. He spoke of his life and she decided to speak of hers. Both souls so open with each other, quite a lot in common she believed. She shared things(thoughts) with him she never imagined to ever leave her mind let alone flow from her tounge to the ears of another, Things she'd never even thought to share with that girl she calls her bestfriend. Surprising right? For the both of them the words were spoken so freely, it was so easy for her; sitting in front of him face to face &speaking her mind. After all was said she even shed tears, nothing major. Just a sniffle hear and a sniffle there. But he saw more than just that &at that very moment he rested his hand on her shoulder and spoke these very words "It's okay, i understand." And. . . . . . . .

(I'm sorry but the rest of that night is never
to be spoken of again, not even in this entry.)

Sheeeeeesh.

What a summer "she's" had !

Birds of a feather....

My Ace, my best friend, & at times my complete opposite.

how many of you are just like your best friend?! im guessing not many right. well if so how often do you fight/ or argue? two of the same personalities are bound to clash at times, it's just how it is!

Bestfriends? yes, yet we're often nothingg alike
we are our own separate indivisuals
I do me, & she of coures does she.. it just works for us.
Don't judge me by her actions or choices in life;
Neither should she be judged by mine.
Inseperable at times? Yes, but we do in fact differ in character.

No control

so now people have something to say about me?!
i've always been the good girl; or atleast the girl who never got caught.

have you ever heard someone say "you can be anything you want to be" or how about this one "you choose who you are/become in life" now i never considered those to be my modos but i deffinately considered to abide by and believe in them at times....

until just recently when i realized in many ways you have no control over what you are or who you become or at least in the eyes of others. people are going to look at you how they please, say what they want about you, and establish their own opinions (no matter how ignorant their assumptions may be).
